Maybe a dumb question: if a company such as ledger experienced regulatory pressure, can they censor your transactions? E.g. can’t send crypto off your ledger unless you get name and address of recipient.

@Milton Bates Thanks brother. That’s the plan. I am a typical buy and hold kind of guy. It worked for me in sticky market but it didn’t work here. Worst part is I thought Robinhood guys are crooks and that’s why I started exploring other platforms. Never knew that they all are the same. Trying to pick myself from this loss and start again. Bought myself some hardware wallets.
Thanks Ben. This huge mess with CeFI should make all of us more cautious. It certainly taught me a lesson. I locked my funds for 90 days (staking on a CeFI platform) prior to the major CeFI platforms going down. As soon as they become unlocked I’ll move them to cold storage…and if the exchange goes down, I guess I’ll have to kiss my Crypto goodbye :(.
I think it’s great you’re getting to the meaty parts of these agreements since we just don’t have time to read through the legalese on our own. Oh how I wish you made this video earlier, but I guess we had to see multiple exchanges freeze our crypto to know how serious this is.

What if they forbid one day to have cold storages so you are only allowed to own crypto on the exchanges? To me the government is all about control and that would be the move for them.
A cold wallet is great, but I don’t own much BTC, and I have also USDT, LTC, and some other coins in my wallet. The basic rule is not to keep your crypto on an exchange so I think my crypto is safe.

Great tips this is why I sold all my crypto off blockFi because of what I saw happened with Celsius here’s my question though would it still be just as good to get the ledger nano S the new little small looking one or do you need the ledger nano X the bigger looking one? Or are either of them good for storing BTC and eth and alts? Ty
Get the nano x. It has ledger live and you can view everything from youre phone
Is there a safer way to liquidate crypto? Keeping in a cold wallet is great for the hodl, but it’d be nice to not have to worry about getting locked out if you needed fiat.
I may not always agree with Ben s atitudine , but i definitely follow this channel for informational and educational content and i have to say that sometimes really comes up with some quality stuff.
