Energy should be free. All of the energy sources on and outside this planet were here before anyone started privatizing them.
By that logic I can now claim your arm because all of the energy resources used to make you were here before you decided to call it yours.

@Like icecream sorry I was replying to the original comment. Saying something should be free just because the original resources and raw materials were here before us has no sense and has proven to be detrimental to innovation time and time again as it takes away any incentive to do so.
@Mario Dacaret That’s true, we would require a sentience shift collectively before even proposing anything like that, in a few millenniums at least.
@Mario Dacaret You need to start with changing the basics for incentives. If financial gain is the drive for inovation you’re slowing the entire development anyway. For example , combustion engines are developed in steps for decades while milking the market for the same shity product over and over again. My dads first car consumed 20 liters per 100km, mine spent 5L. But it costs me more % of my income for the same 100km then him 30y ago. The same process will repeat with electric cars and our childrens Generation. The older gen borows the planet and energy from the next gen and sticks them with the higher costs. This is a way to finite development. The Circle can be broken with tools like Blockchain tech, but ditching luxury and excess of spending the resources is needed. The WEF agenda with not owning anything sounds scary but it levels the playing field for everyone at least.The human who is born in Africa tomorow should have the same right for anything on this planet as the human born in the USA tomorow. Draging generational entitlement to energy unevenly across the planet will be the end for everybody at some point, but the fall will ironicly hurt the ones on top the most.
